BusinessFlow does not collect your data. There are no adverts, no analytics, no trackers and no third-party software development kits in the app. Nothing about how you use it is sent anywhere.
Your work stays on your device, and in your own iCloud account if you switch sync on.
Everything you enter is stored so the app can work: your business details and bank details, your customers' names and contact details, jobs and addresses, notes, measurements, materials, tasks, site photos, quotes, invoices, contracts, signatures, payment stages and calendar reminders.
All of it is written to the app's own private storage on your device. None of it is sent to the developer, and the developer cannot see any of it.
With a VIP subscription the app can sync through CloudKit so your work appears on your other Apple devices. That data goes to your own private iCloud database under your Apple Account. It is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, and the developer has no access to it.
Sharing a business with a colleague uses Apple's own sharing mechanism: they see the business you invited them into, and nothing else. You can remove their access at any time.
Without VIP, or with iCloud switched off, the app runs entirely on your device and syncs nothing.
The app does not track you. It does not collect an advertising identifier, does not build a profile of you, does not share anything with data brokers, and does not link your activity to other companies' apps or websites.
Because there is nothing to track, the app never shows the "Allow app to track your activity?" request, and there is no tracking permission for you to manage.
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. The app is told only whether a subscription is currently active. It never sees your name, card details or billing address, and payment information is never stored in the app.
Camera and photo library: only to attach site photos to a job, or to put a photo into your site notes. Photos stay in the app's storage.
Microphone and speech recognition: only while you're dictating a site note, and only after you tap the microphone button. What you say is turned into text for that note and nothing else — no recording is kept, and the app never listens in the background.
Notifications: only to remind you about payments that are due and jobs that are starting. Turning them off costs you nothing else.
Calendar: only if you switch on Apple Calendar sync. BusinessFlow then writes your job dates, payment dates and reminders to the one calendar you pick, and reads that same calendar back into your diary. It is never switched on by itself, nothing is sent anywhere, and switching it off removes the entries it added.
Files: only when you choose to upload a document to a job, export a backup, or restore one.
Every permission is asked for at the moment it's needed, and the app carries on working if you refuse.
When you share or print a quote, invoice or contract, it leaves the app through the standard iOS share sheet using whichever app you pick — Mail, Messages, WhatsApp, a printer. From that point it's handled by that app under its own privacy policy.
Deleting a job, a document or a business removes it from the app, and from iCloud if sync is on. Deleting the app removes everything stored on that device.
Data in your own iCloud account can be managed and deleted from Settings on your device, under your Apple Account.
BusinessFlow is a tool for running a trade business and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.
